  Tom sees photography as the beginning of a working process; a captured image to be interpreted in new ways, manipulated, stripped down, subverted or exaggerated. Viewers are invited to consider how much this work retains or loses its direct link to the subject, once filtered through these different processes.
Tom's concern with the manipulation of the photographic image makes us question the issues of fakery and deception that are invoked.
